10 quick tips for those suffering from gastroesophageal reflux:

  1. Eat  smaller, more frequent meals instead of large meals.

  2. Prefer a low-fat diet, avoid ready-made foods.

  3. Beware of foods and drinks that are too hot or cold; so sip liquids slowly throughout the day.

  4. Don't eat with the funnel! Eat slowly, taking the time to chew the bites which taste even better.

  5. Limit the consumption of chocolate, citrus fruits, raw tomatoes, onion, peppers, garlic, chilli, pepper and mint. I said limit yourself, obviously don't deprive yourself completely because some of these, in addition to being good, are also very healthy.

  6. Moderate your consumption of coffee, tea, carbonated drinks and wine.

  7. Adopt a healthy lifestyle, quitting smoking, and doing physical activity.
